Portland is the only city in the United States with an extinct volcano within the city limits. Twenty downtown water fountains were a gift to the city from an early-20th century timber Baron. Experience what makes Portland such a special city.

Your tour will begin at Pioneer Courthouse Square “Portland’s Living Room.” You will begin by winding through the streets of Downtown, Old town and Chinatown. See the Pearl District, a neighborhood that is being renewed to upscale loft condos, then its fountains, bridges, markets, sculptures, the theater district, parks, museums, and buildings.

It is just a few minutes drive to Washington Park where you will tour Arlington Heights residential area and the Hoyt Arboretum.

In Washington Park, you will visit the world-renowned International Rose Test Gardens and the incredible gift shop.

Pittock Mansion, listed on the National Historic Register, is the next stop. Here you will tour the mansion which was completed in 1914, with stunningly progressive features including a central vacuum system, intercoms, and indirect lighting. The final estate includes the mansion, a three car garage, a greenhouse, and the Italianate gate lodge servants’ residence, all situated on 46 acres of land almost 1,000 feet above Portland.

Your tour will end in Downtown Portland at Pioneer Courthouse Square around 4:00 PM.
